Abstract:   (5 Views)
Background and Aim: Today, spiritual health is considered an important dimension of the Islamic lifestyle. This study aimed to design a model of the Islamic lifestyle related to spiritual health. The foundation of the Islamic lifestyle is faith in the principles of religion and the epistemological foundations of Islam, which influence the formation of individuals’ attitudes, beliefs, and individual and social behaviors. From an Islamic perspective, human health encompasses physical, psychological, and spiritual dimensions, and these dimensions derive meaning through their interaction with one another.
Methods: This applied qualitative study was conducted using a meta-synthesis approach. To identify and integrate the findings of relevant studies, the seven-step meta-synthesis model proposed by Sandelowski and Barroso was employed. Following the search, evaluation, and screening of the studies, 24 articles relevant to the research topic were selected for final analysis, and their findings were examined and synthesized.
Results: The Islamic lifestyle related to spiritual health is a multidimensional and integrated construct comprising five main components: religious practices, beliefs, beliefs and attitudes, family, and health, with a total of 16 indicators.
Conclusion: The proposed model indicates that promoting spiritual health and institutionalizing the Islamic lifestyle require simultaneous attention to the dimensions of religious practices, beliefs, cognitive aspects, family, and health. This integrated approach can contribute to achieving a balanced and desirable life within the framework of Islamic teachings.
