Abstract: (40 Views) |
Background and Aim: Prayer, as a fundamental religious practice, has significant effects on mental health and spiritual well-being. This study aimed to model the structural equations of attitude and practical commitment to prayer based on life hope with the mediating role of spirituality in soldiers.
Methods: In this correlational study, 261 soldiers were selected through convenience sampling. Research instruments included the Attitude and Practical Commitment to Prayer Scale (Anisi et al., 2010), Snyder's Hope Scale (1991), and the Spiritual Assessment Inventory (Hall & Edwards, 2002). Data were analyzed using structural equation modeling in AMOS software.
Results: The proposed model demonstrated good fit indices (χ²/df=1.95, RMSEA=0.041, CFI=0.95, GFI=0.94). Results revealed significant positive relationships between hope and spirituality with attitude and practical commitment to prayer (P<0.01). Bootstrap analysis indicated that spirituality mediates the relationship between hope and attitude and practical commitment to prayer (P<0.01).
Conclusion: The findings emphasize the mediating role of spirituality in enhancing the effect of life hope on attitude and practical commitment to prayer. Implementing spiritual educational programs is recommended for military personnel. |
