Cancer is one of the most common diseases and a leading cause of death worldwide, with its incidence increasing day by day. Cancer is a chronic disease that, as a terrifying diagnosis, causes death anxiety in patients. In terms of mental health, one of the sufferings that cancer patients often express is their death anxiety. Death anxiety is a specific type of anxiety and a term used for apprehension caused by the awareness of death. It is defined as an abnormal and intense fear accompanied by feelings of terror or apprehension about death when thinking about the process of dying or events that occur after death. |
