Background and Aim: This study aimed to investigate the interconnected effects of social media use, civic awareness, and spiritual intelligence on adolescents' sense of responsibility and spiritual health. Focusing on spiritual health, this research seeks to understand the relationships between various factors influencing adolescents' psychological and spiritual health.
Methods: A descriptive-correlational design with structural equation modeling was employed. A sample of 256 high school students participated in the study. Data were collected using standardized questionnaires and analyzed using SPSS and AMOS software.
Results: The results revealed that excessive social media use was negatively correlated with responsibility and spiritual health. Conversely, civic awareness and spiritual intelligence were positively associated with responsibility and spiritual health. Moreover, spiritual intelligence significantly mediated the relationship between social media use, civic awareness, responsibility, and spiritual health.
Conclusion: The findings suggest that fostering spiritual intelligence and civic awareness can enhance adolescents' spiritual well-being and sense of responsibility. Additionally, reducing excessive social media use can contribute to improved well-being. |
