Spiritual health is the outcome of both external formal search and inner contemplation, with a history as ancient as human existence itself. It has always been a focus of interest for religious leaders and scholars concerned with spirituality. The purpose of this study is to examine spiritual health within the framework of the Islamic "Hayat-e-Tayyiba" (pure life) and explore ways to achieve it through authentic Islamic sources, including the Quran, Hadith, and reasoning. This research employs a descriptive-analytical method, utilizing library-based information collection to study spiritual health and the paths to achieving it in light of the aforementioned sources. Spiritual health is rooted in the indivisibility of inner qualities of goodness and virtuous actions, centered on the essence of closeness to God (Qurb Ilallah). It encompasses the behaviors and conduct of individuals in their personal and social lives, grounded in the connection between intention and action. Furthermore, adherence to principles such as Imamate and Wilayat, as well as various influencing factors like time, place, religious obligations, and divine commands and prohibitions, are emphasized as essential elements for achieving spiritual health and attaining the Islamic pure life. Spiritual health is the result of worshipful and pious preoccupations that encompass all dimensions of an individual’s worldly and eternal life. Reflecting upon various epistemological approaches—mystical, theological, philosophical, and jurisprudential—a believer aligned with Sharia and divine decrees, striving to align their thoughts, speech, and actions in both personal and social realms with temporal and spatial requirements, is truly within the domain of spiritual health. |
